We're here for the IT professional that wants to connect and grow.
Think IT is a service of York Solutions with the overall mission of fostering professional growth and development through the power of networking and collaboration. York created Think IT in 2009 and we currently have over 2,400 members in 7 different groups in Minneapolis and over 600 members in Chicago. Most groups meet on a monthly basis in an informal, roundtable format with a different member from the group facilitating (not presenting) each session.
Being a member of Think IT not only allows you to network and collaborate with other IT professionals, but also allows you to be involved in a mentorship program, as well as a leadership development program called Link to Leadership.
How We're Different
- Think IT is a vendor-free association – no vendor presentations or sales pitches at our meetings!
- We meet with each applicant to maintain the integrity of the groups
- We help members figure out how to best utilize Think IT and its programs for their benefit
- Our meetings are led by group members discussing real-time, relevant topics

We feel strongly about the importance of giving back and we are very lucky to also have a community of generous IT professionals to help contribute to our efforts. Our goal with each community outreach opportunity is to not only personally lend a helping hand, but to create greater awareness for each organization’s amazing efforts within our community.
Benefits of Membership
The key benefits of Think IT are that it brings a diverse set of minds together to discuss common technology challenges that cross industries. Think IT does a great job at connecting the IT community in the Twin Cities to enable knowledge sharing, idea generation, and networking. Each participant in Think IT is active, vocal and contributes to overall learning of the group. Since Think IT relies on its members to drive the content of the group, the dialogue is authentic and sincere. As they say in IT, it's about People, Process and Technology and Think IT brings that out in each of its facilitated discussions.
